One of the smallest counties in Ireland and often referred to as Northern Ireland's lake district, County Fermanagh is the perfect holiday destination for boating and other water based holidays. The 70 km of lakes situated in the county are now linked to the Shannon system in the Irish Republic via the Shannon-Erne Waterway Canal, making the entire system the longest navigable inland waterway in Europe. Whilst the trail can be paddled in either direction, the starting point
is Muckross in Lower Lough Erne (the northern lough). A further 9 access
points are described on the guide (below) with the final destination
being Crom Estate on Upper Lough Erne (the southern lough). Paddlers
can choose to canoe the entire trail or just a section. Share Activity Centre at Lisnaskea is the perfect environment for outdoor activities. The lakeshore venue is ideal for watersports and the purpose built site provides easy access to all onshore activities.
Banana Skiing
